How long do Dried Spices last?
I bought a spice rach several years ago (at least 5 years, maybe 7). I still use the dried spices. Are they still potent? I have re-filled some of the more common ones since then (ie. Parsley, Oregano). Should I purchase another spice rack or replace all of the spices? I think the spice rack would be cheaper than replacing all spices individually. Do I need to? If so, how often?
Once opened spices start to loose their flavour & intensity,so don’t keep them for more that 6 months at the most once open…So treat yourself to a whole new rack if you have had them that long.
